1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of axiomprivateresearch.com, the Research Brain library, and any products purchased through Axiom Private Research (“Axiom,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, signing in, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years of age and a qualified researcher, scientist, institutional buyer, or otherwise demonstrate a legitimate scientific purpose. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it current. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Membership
Research Member access (including the Research Brain library) is currently offered free of charge to the first 99 researchers under our Elite Research Membership program. Elite Research Membership carries no recurring charge and no payment card is required. We reserve the right to introduce paid membership tiers for sign-ups beyond the founding cohort; existing Elite Research Members will be notified before any change affects their access. You can close your account at any time from your account page or by emailing [email protected].
4. Permitted use
All materials sold through the Service are intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research and non-clinical scientific investigation. By placing an order you affirm that you will:
- use any material purchased solely for in-vitro research;
- not administer any material to humans or animals;
- not resell, repackage, or redistribute material outside your research program;
- handle and dispose of material under applicable safety, biosafety, and hazardous-waste regulations.
5. Prohibited use
- No personal use, ingestion, injection, inhalation, topical application, or any other administration to a living organism.
- No use of the Service to scrape, mirror, or republish the Research Brain index, our catalog, or our documentation.
- No attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or other technical controls.
- No use of the Service in violation of applicable export, sanctions, or controlled-substance law.
Violation may result in immediate account termination, order cancellation, and refusal of future service.
6. Orders, pricing, and shipping
Prices, availability, and shipping options are shown at checkout and may change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for suspected misuse, jurisdictional restrictions, or pricing errors. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier. You are responsible for any duties, taxes, or import fees imposed at destination.
7. Refunds
Because of the nature of laboratory materials, opened vials are non-refundable. Unopened shipments may be returned for a refund within 14 days of delivery, less return shipping. If a shipment arrives damaged or mislabeled, contact [email protected] within 7 days of delivery and we will replace or refund the affected items.
8. Research Brain library
The Research Brain is a curated index of peer-reviewed studies pulled from the U.S. National Library of Medicine’s PubMed database. Topic tags and anatomical region labels are automated and illustrative; they are not clinical classifications. Each study links back to its original source via PMID. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any third-party study, and inclusion does not imply endorsement.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including page layout, written content, branding, and the curated Research Brain taxonomy, is owned by Axiom and protected by intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal research purposes only. Third-party study abstracts and metadata remain the property of their respective publishers and PubMed.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Statements made on the Service have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Axiom will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or any product purchased through it. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service or a product will not exceed the amount you paid to Axiom in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Axiom harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of any material purchased through the Service, or your violation of applicable law.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including suspected misuse, non-payment, or violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the Service and the effective date above will change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
